From Africa to the Marlboro Fly Fishing Show

Who needs rest?  Evidently not me.  That’s actually not true but it was either go to Gabon and start the show season with a little jetlag or don’t go to Gabon.  You know me by now.  I sucked it up.

And the last few days did suck.  I arrived in Wisconsin after flying 10,000 miles this weekend.  Within 24 hours Granny and I were in the Ruby Van heading for Wolfeboro, New Hampshire.  It was a long drive with jetlag, catching up on Gabon blogs and preparing for my talks for this weekend.  Despite winter roads we made it to NH and Granny and I had a fun few days with family.

fish-whiskey-glassTomorrow it’s down to The Marlboro Fly Fishing Show.  Friday, Saturday and Sunday Granny will show off some new products such as this whiskey glass along with my fish coffee mugs, beer steins and shirts at our booth while I’ll be giving demonstrations at the casting pond and delivering PowerPoint Presentations in the show theaters.

Currier-fish-artWhen I’m not entertaining I’ll either be at the show bookstore autographing my books or at the booth with Granny talking fishing and doing artwork while folk’s watch.  If you’re coming to the show consider having me draw you a fish on your favorite piece of gear with my sharpies.  It could be a Cliff Fly Box (I’ll have blanks for sale on hand), your fanny pack, backpack or you name it.  As long as your fish/idea doesn’t take me too long the price is reasonable, usually around $50.  Just be sure that if you have a project for me, swing by our booth first thing when you arrive so I can get started.  I try not to fall too far behind!

fly-casting-demonstrationsFor those who can’t make Marlboro this weekend we have many more stops over the next two months.  We’ll be at Edison NJ, Atlanta and the Denver Fly Fishing Shows.  I also have a few private stops at clubs that you can find on my schedule.
