Fishing bums don’t often get to fish in Africa. There are few bargains and good luck winging it like you can on other continents. Try to wing it there and you might get eaten by a crocodile or a lion. But Jeff and his wife Granny pulled it off. They travelled nearly three months and hitchhiked from Namibia to Malawi in 2005 just to catch tigerfish. They started on in the Okavango Delta then followed the Zambezi River to the border of Mozambique.
Jeff has since made it back to Africa over a dozen times making films and fishing for TV’s Reel Outdoors as well as hosting trips. He’s fished in Botswana, Cameroon, Egypt, Gabon, Lesotho, Malawi, Namibia, South Africa, Sudan, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
