This train never stops rolling. Especially during winter when I have an even mix of fly fishing travel and a speaking tour. I got home from Brazil on Monday night and then yesterday flew to Melbourne, Florida. I came to deliver a full day of presentations for the Backcountry Flyfishing Association. It’s a great group and today I had a wonderful time.
I’ve spoke here before so seeing everyone is a highlight. But hands down, staying with my friend Frank and his wife Linda Catino and the visit with longtime pal Paul Bruun and his wife Jean is cherished time. Paul was one of my main mentors when I arrived hot to trot on the Jackson Hole scene back in 1987.
After my gig we enjoyed a big dinner at Franks favorite Cuban restaurant. I’ve healed up from my Amazon plague and it was nice to enjoy the smells and tastes of a good meal. I’m sticking around a couple days. Its possible I might go fishing. . . . .
If this is a trip you want to do (and you are crazy if you don’t!) you can Contact me, Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures or Untamed Angling.

In the meantime, please visit my webstore for “Christmas Gifts for the Angler that has Everything” and stuff those stockings with my fish decals from “Pescador on the Fly”.
And be sure to keep track of my upcoming travels at the 2025 fly fishing shows and fishing around the world!

Danimal, yes it so cool to be able to still go hang out with one of my best mentors. I’m a lucky guy. Look forward to seeing you at the NJ show!
