I’m finally worn out after four straight weekends of shows. This past weekend was the biggy, the Edison New Jersey Fly Fishing Show. I left moms house in New Hampshire strong after a couple days break from the Marlboro Fly Fishing Show, but a dreadful 7 hour drive to NJ through pouring rain and heavy traffic beat me down before the show started.
You push through though and the show itself was superb. I presented more than planned by filling in for a no-show speaker. I did casting demos and PowerPoint Presentations each of all three days. My last talk Sunday puts me at 24 seminars for the year already.
In between entertaining I exercised my sharpies. I drew on eleven Cliff Fly Boxes, two backpacks and two fly tying vise bases. By the time Granny and I got in the car to drive back to NH on Sunday night after the show I was beyond exhausted.
Granny and I stayed at my mom’s these past two days. We ate and drank too much but had a blast with the family. This afternoon we said goodbye and are presently on the bus for Logan Airport in Boston for a late night flight back to Idaho.
No doubt this blog is overdue for some fishing. Good news. Fishing is coming. I’ll be home tomorrow and Friday packing because Saturday I fly for South Africa for the World Masters Fly Fishing Championships. Stay tuned!
Be sure to keep track of my upcoming travels around the world!
